Discs: CDs, DVDs & Floppy

Used CDs, DVDs and floppy discs are accepted by Future Shop or Best Buy for recycling.

 

Dishes & Dishware

Used dishes and dishware are accepted by Canadian Diabetes Association for pick-up.

 

Dishwasher

Dishwashers less then seven years old will be accepted at Habitat for Humanity Re-Store.

 

Alternately, through the Home Appliance Retirement Program (HARP), Winnipeggers can permanently retire their unwanted, energy inefficient home appliances in a convenient and environmentally safe manner by simply calling the HARP Hotline at 257-1212. 

 

Any major appliance – washers, dryers, fridges, stoves, even water heaters – qualifies for free pickup within Winnipeg. Once arrangements have been made, a representative of the Kidney Foundation will pick up the appliance and safely recycle it free of charge.

 

Doors

Used doors will be accepted at Habitat for Humanity Re-Store.

 

If they should be disposed, please take them to the Brady Road landfill. Information on Brady Road landfill is also available by calling the recycling and garbage information line at 986-8888.

 

Drywall

Drywall can be disposed at the Brady Road landfill. There is a small fee per vehicle.

 

Drain Cleaner

Drain Cleaner is considered as hazardous waste and proper disposal is required.  Please contact Miller Environmental Corporation at 204-925-9600 for additional information.

 

 

Draperies

Used draperies are accepted by Canadian Diabetes Association for pick-up.

 

Drink/Juice Boxes

Drink/juice boxes can be recycled through the city's Blue box recycling program.
