Identify employment and wealth-creation opportunities related to effective waste management practices and seek value-added partnerships benefiting communities and other participants
Cause industry stewards to implement EPR programs consistent with Manitoba principles, directions and targets
Identify and resolve existing regulatory impediments to EPR programming and other desirable waste management practices
Implement the core processes and tools required for Green Manitoba’s EPR-related role, including the ability to monitor and report on program performance
Launch awareness and education campaigns aimed at promoting the waste management hierarchy (reduce/reuse/recycle/recover)
Broker relationships among various entities based on aligned interests and goals
